Alec Soth’s Lonely Boy Magazine – the show

Harper’s Books is pleased to present “Alec Soth’s Lonely Boy Magazine,” an exhibition of photographs from two interrelated projects: “The Loneliest Man in Missouri,” and “The Most Beautiful Woman in Georgia.” In conjunction with the exhibition, we are also excited to announce the release of Lonely Boy Mag No. A-2, published by Soth’s imprint Little Brown Mushroom, and featuring work from “The Most Beautiful Woman in Georgia.” In addition to Soth, the show will also contain work by Todd Hido, Peter Davidson and Chad States, all contributors to Lonely Boy Mag No. A-2.

  1. Is this exhibit planned for any other locations… somewhere closer to Philly ? Would love to see it. I have a copy of Lonely Boy A-1 I would love to have signed someday!

  2. Thanks to Alec for a great opening! For anyone in NYC who wants to see the show, the Hamptons are easily accessible by car, train, or bus (Hampton Jitney). The trip takes about 2 1/2 hours each way. There are several book shops and galleries right in East Hampton, and a good lunch is available 50 yards from my shop. Feel free to call Harper’s Books at 631-324-1131 for more details. We also have a excellent selection of rare photobooks, including just about all of Alec’s work. And one of the best beaches in the U.S. is a short walk away…
